What kinds of flooring do you remove?

Transitions Polishing and Grinding remove all forms of floor including carpets, vinyl, tiles, timber, cork and slate. As part of our removal process carpet adhesive and tiles glues are removed to prepare the surface for the new floor finish. If your type of damaged flooring is not mentioned in the above list, please contact us.

At what stage do you need to do the job?

Floor removal needs to take place as part of the demolition process, prior to the walls being replaced.

Do i need to do anything to prepare the area?

Ensure that the affected area is free of furniture so that there is sufficient access to enable waste and equipment to be moved freely.

What if the area is still wet/damp?

This does not affect our work.

What does the process involve?

The first stage is to remove the affected floor covering and waste. Once this has been removed, the adhesive will be removed by grinding, so that your floors are ready for new coverings.

What is the cost?

The cost varies depending on the size and type of floor, the type access to the job and many other contributing factors. However as a general rule allow $20-25/m for removal and grinding of the adhesive. 

How soon can you come in and do the job?

We have several crews so we can book the work in soon, however with the current demand for floor removal we are asking for up to 7 days’ notice.

What size jobs do you do?

Transitions Polishing and Grinding can accommodate both residential and commercial jobs. No job is to big or small for Transitions all our customers are treated equally.
