TerazzoMicro

Since the early 20th century, Terrazzo was a sign of elegance and endurance in Roman and Venice architecture. Villas and upmarket bourgeois houses boasted extensive Terrazzo works, however in the later part of the 20th century Terrazzo was replaced by modern alternative flooring.

The rediscovery of this smooth elegance is by Ardex; PanDOMO TerrazzoMicro. It has all the classic advantages of Terrazzo without the technical limitations.

PanDOMO TerrazzoMicro is a combination of high strength rapid set binder, which can be tinted to a large range of colours and decorative marble chips 3mm to 6mm in size. The grain size is significantly finer; the effect is therefore smoother. The accentuation is more discreet, yet still maintaining that traditional Terrazzo look, without compromising abrasition resistance or resilience.

PanDOMO TerrazzoMicro can be poured to a minimum of 11 mm, is walkable after 8 hours, has the ability to be finished after 24 hours, is an eigth of the weight and is useable in 4 days, when compared with the 14 days of traditional Terrazzo. In addition, PanDOMO TerrazzoMicro eliminates the need for costly and time consuming set downs in the construction slab.
